Back in February, we rented a heat pump to the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA to help out while they work to expand their facility. Because the construction project is long term, so was the rental — and now it’s going to continue.
The hospital will now be using that same pump as a temporary air conditioner. Hospitals and medical centers are some of our most common clients at Priority Rental. Whether being used for months at a time or simply as a backup while the central air conditioning system is being repaired, these facilities certainly benefit from spot cooler rentals. In fact, we’ve previously listed them in our 5 Business that Need Spot Coolers blog post.
Often, our spot coolers are used to keep patients, visitors, and employees comfortable. However, they also provide the added benefit of reducing the spread of mold, bacteria, and fungus. In a medical facility, these are major concerns that could escalate into real disaster. Spot coolers also prevent these nuisances from sabotaging construction projects, like the one currently being finished at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. They prevent mold from growing on the walls when it’s humid, and in some cases they also help to improve the quality of air in the project site.
