The kitchen is the heart of every restaurant, and keeping it cool is essential to all the employees and patrons during the summer months. Recently we visited a restaurant in West Chester, PA to help set up a spot cooler in their commercial kitchen.
Take a look at the install:
Installing a Water Cooled AC Unit into a Commercial Kitchen
Having a portable AC solution will ensure that your restaurant stays cool all summer long, and getting set up is a simple process, especially with our same-day service.
Most kitchens don’t have windows for traditional window air conditioners or for ductwork, so our water cooled ACs are a perfect solution: they don’t require any ducting or window access. All you need for one of these units is a 115-volt outlet, a water source, and a drain, which should easily be available in a kitchen. Our installation process is simple:
- Put the unit into place near a 115-volt outlet, a water source, and a drain. We’ll always pick a spot that won’t get in the way of employees or patrons.
- Hook up the hoses to the water source and drain. We use two hoses — one to send cold water into the machine and one to send hot water out.
- Turn the water on, plug the AC in & turn the unit on.
It’s that easy! Once we leave, you’ll be able to control the thermostat and turn off the unit and water at the end of the night to reduce water and electricity consumption.
