If you ever come across the unit and your cool light is off – when your stock switch is in the cold position and this cool light is off – one spot that I say check before calling us is on the backside of this condenser. Basically, just kind of like you did with the panel at the electric, open it up with a screwdriver. This is where your condenser side of the unit is. You have your compressor and you have your condenser fan motor.
But if you notice on here there’s two sensors back here – one has red leads, one has green leads. Your green leads are your low pressure. Your red is high pressure. I always say to check this cylinder here: it has a button on the top of it. Make sure you firmly press that button on top to make sure that that’s not tripped off.
If it is tripped off, you want to explore other options -whether or not your duct may be kicked off, sharp bends (that’s restricting flow) and/or that flap inside is not set all the way back – if you have, let’s say 75 feet of duct work in there. Those are the things to check for if that’s tripped off, but aside from that, any other issues just called the office.
