A spot cooler is a great solution for temporary air conditioning that can come in handy in many situations, like when a building’s HVAC system is down for routine maintenance. They are also great for temporary cooling in a warehouse, hospital, server room, or anywhere else that needs to be kept cool.
In the video below, we show you just how easy it is to set up a unit. Spot coolers are on wheels, which makes them easy to move to the location where cooling is needed most.
Venting: Once we get the unit where it is needed, we will need a place to vent the unit. This can often be done through a drop ceiling or a window.
Operation: Once the unit is in place and plugged in, the controls are very simple to understand. Just like a normal AC unit, you can adjust the desired room temperature on the digital panel (the top number is the temperature in the room and the lower number is the temperature at which the spot cooler is set). The unit’s fan can be set to low or high, and you can set a shut off time so it is not running all the time.
Removal: To uninstall a unit, we remove the ducting, unplug the spot cooler, and roll it back out. Keeping cool doesn’t have to be difficult!
