How to Control the Temperature on the PACH5 Unit

The PACH5 unit, also known as the PAC 5 N Heat Pump, is a 5 ton portable air conditioner.

These units use an environmentally-friendly refrigerant for cooling industrial sites, repair shops, server rooms, outdoor venues and more.

PACH5 Temperature Control

Watch the video below for a brief overview of this process:

Transcript:

Let’s go over the controls of this unit.

There’s two scenarios that these units can take. As stated before, inside the return there is a measurement for the temperature and that temperature is controlled by this thermostat that’s inside the cabinet unit.

So you basically just use a flathead screwdriver, loosen those two, set it for the temperature you’re looking for. I recommend you try not to go anything below 60 on any of our equipment. Also it is imperative that you know some of these units are equipped with a dual power system. You have to make sure whatever your electrician sets up the power on it that tile switch is set to the correct power – either 208 or 230 volt.

The units also have the option (just like the pump) to have an optional remote put onto it – so instead of the unit receiving return temperature and operating that way, it will actually connect a remote thermostat on the side here and just up or down with your temperature. They are very basic controls – there’s no bells and whistles with that.
