Don’t Sweat, We’ve Got You Covered
Summer is a busy time for most — the peak of wedding season, graduation parties, and outdoor gatherings galore. When planning a large outdoor event, your first order of business will be to look into tent rental. Once you’ve nailed down a tent, you will want to consider a cooling system in order to beat the heat and keep the air circulating. At Priority Rental, we specialize in temporary cooling, so in the dog days of summer you can happily enjoy your celebration at a comfortable temperature.
Take a look at our inventory to find a suitable solution for your next summer occasion:
Temporary AC & Spot Coolers:
Temporary AC & spot coolers are perfect for cooling down your tented event on a hot summer day. If you choose to rent one of these units you will need to know your tents measurements and consider your guest count. Generally, 1 ton of cooling is necessary per 100-150 square feet. Understanding these details are important, so we can access which cooling solution makes the most sense for you.
Our AC calculator can help you gauge how much AC you will need; however, our Priority Rental cooling experts are always available to help you make an informed decision.
Evaporation Coolers/Swamp Coolers:
Another option is evaporation coolers, or swamp coolers. These systems are great because they are effective and affordable. Swamp Coolers differ from typical air conditioning systems as they use water to cool the air, for an eco-friendly alternative that is in the budget! When using a swamp cooler, you will need to take the humidity into account; one swamp cooler can actually decrease ambient temperatures of your event up to 30 degrees depending on humidity.
For example, on an 80-degree day with a relative humidity of 40 percent, an evaporative cooler can lower the temperature by about 20 degrees. At 75 percent humidity, it will lower the temperature by 6.5 degrees. Learn more about using evaporative coolers for outdoor events.
Industrial Fans:
If you’re looking for a straightforward, cost-effective approach, industrial fans are the answer.
On a still day, the most efficient way to organize fans is in a “race track” pattern. This means lining a closed-walled tent with a straight row of fans on either side. On one side, all of the fans should point the same direction. On the other side of the tent, the fans should point the opposite direction. This is an efficient way to create a breeze.
On a windy day, place your fans every 20 feet at 45 degree angels. Aim the fans so that they create air flow in the same direction as the natural wind.
At Priority Rental, we offer a variety of fan rentals including floor fans, drop fans, and fans on wheels. Fans are an easy, portable option that can be set up anywhere you can plug in to an outlet.
