How to Condensate the P-Trap on the PACH5 Unit

The PACH5 unit, also known as the PAC 5 N Heat Pump, is a 5 ton portable air conditioner.

These units uses an environmentally-friendly refrigerant for cooling industrial sites, repair shops, server rooms, outdoor venues and more.

Learn How to Prime the P-Trap on the PACH5

Watch the video below for a brief overview of this process:

You also want to make sure that you have your P-trap and your pump in position.

Before putting your pump underneath, as you’re operating the unit – leave the unit running for about 10 minutes or so – and you will prime the P-trap. This is very important or you’re going to end up with water all around the unit.

So basically all you’re gonna do is the unit is going to run for 10 minutes and it’s going to gain a lot of water. You want to close this off with your thumb, leave it there for about a minute and then release. That shall allow the water to change pressure and allow it to flow out.

Once you start getting a flow, then you can pop the pump in there and run your condensation line to wherever you want it to drain.
