After you’ve been using your unit for a while, there will be the inevitable buildup of dust on the igniter.
Fortunately, this is an issue you will likely be able to solve on your own.
Learn How to Clear Buildup off of Your Unit’s Igniter
Transcript: There are other problems that we have with this unit besides not adequate enough air. If you look down inside here, you’ll see an igniter and a flame sensing rod. So what happens after enough combustion happens, you start getting this dusty buildup that builds up onto the unit.
So what I recommend is if you have a piece of cheesecloth, or a light sandpaper, or even a dollar bill, is just very gently coax across it and clean it off as much as possible without bending the spark rod. Just very gently go in there, you start cleaning it up. That will give you adequate igniting surface to be able to give it a correct spark again.
